We are adding to our team and are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved on time and with superior quality. Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to production management, distribution, inventory control, quality assurance, staff development and scheduling. A successful Plant Manager will have a history of progressive career achievement, proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes, be an active presence on the production floor, and possess strong communication and relationship building abilities.
  • Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations
  • Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports
  • Determines labor needs to meet production goals
  • Monitors product and service quality standards to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Enforces safety guidelines with proficient knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Maintain inventory integrity and turnover
  • Oversees the shipping and receiving functions
  • Assists with budget preparation
  • Prepares and updates organizations operations manual and policies
  • Ensures that all machines and equipment are being properly used and maintained
  • Hires and trains new employees
  • Organizes and oversees the work schedules and work of assigned staff
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
  • Identifies and implements training and development programs for all employees
  • Performs other related duties as required

Education or Skills:


Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field required

5+ years previous management experience manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements
Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
Extensive knowledge of operations and production management
Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn company related software
Six Sigma or lean manufacturing experience preferred
